Gifted or talented students are those who demonstrate high academic and intellectual aptitude or possess extraordinary talent in the visual or performing arts, and they may be eligible for differentiated instruction.
This plan includes personal academic goals and additional services that will be provided to the student, as well as other information that impacts the academic performance of the student.
Gifted students need to be challenged in new ways and given the opportunity to explore their innate gifts. This requires not only student and parent involvement, but also a dynamic teacher willing to support his or her gifted and talented learners.
